We're adopting!

Abortion advocates would have you believe that pregnancy is a disease and children a curse.  But I know at least one mother whose life was saved by her baby.
In 2004, my friend Rose had booked reservations to vacation in Thailand with her friends.  However, as their departure date drew closer, her friend, who’d been trying to conceive, finally tested positive for a pregnancy.  The friend, hoping to ensure the baby’s safety and life, cancelled her plans.  So did the rest of their party.  The hotel reservations were made right on a beach front resort that got the brunt of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.  Rose and her friends are all alive because of one pregnancy.
During these forty days for life, we’ve decided to adopt a baby.  We’re naming her Emily.  Emily is in utero right now in what’s termed a “crisis pregnancy” and in grave danger of being aborted by her mother.  So we’ve pledged to pray for her for nine months so she gets a chance to live.
Want to spiritually adopt a baby, too?  Just name your baby and pray the following prayer from the Feast of the Annunciation to Christmas:

Dear Heavenly Father, please bless and protect my spiritually adopted baby N  Give special graces to the mother as she works through this crisis pregnancy so that N will have the chance for life.
Also, bless the father of this unborn baby.  Please put the appropriate people in the lives of this unborn child and her family, so that he/she may have every opportunity to be born an live a full, rich life serving you.  Send your angels to stand guard over this family.  Bless all unborn babies and touch the hearts of their mothers and fathers, so that these unborn infants may be saved.  Dear Lord, I look forward to meeting N in Heaven.
Please forgive our nation for its sins of abortion and infanticide.  Have mercy on us and help our country of the United States to turn back to you, O Lord.  We pray in the most holy name of Your Son, Jesus.  Amen.

Who knows?  One day that baby may just save your life.
